Nicole Kettwick’s client was charged with a misdemeanor domestic assault for allegedly biting his girlfriend in an argument in their residence in Edina. Police responded days later when the girlfriend called to report the incident.
In preparation of the case, Nicole took statements from her client’s family as well as the alleged victim, gathered information to show that the alleged victim was unreliable, gathered information in support of her client’s alibi for the day of the alleged assault, and entered into numerous discussions with the prosecuting attorney. Nicole prepared for a Jury Trial and on the morning of, the prosecutor agreed to a continuance for dismissal – meaning that the matter was continued for six months after which the case will be dismissed as long as Nicole’s client commits no same or similar offenses.
This is the type of resolution that results from thorough preparation, attention and investigation.
