      Assault Charge Dismissed, Traffic Charge Continued for Dismissal

This means that after just 1 year of unsupervised probation, the Careless Driving charge will also be dismissed and her client did not lose his license, have a criminal conviction, or have any offense on his driving record.

      Dani Secures Client Careless Driving in DWI Case

      Case: Driving After Suspension and DWI

      Result: Dani’s client was charged with two misdemeanors: Driving After Suspension (DAS) and Fourth Degree DWI after two driving incidents in 2020. After Dani’s client’s proactive steps with a chemical dependency evaluation and safe driving course, Dani was able to negotiate two favorable resolutions for her client. Her client received a lessened charge of a petty misdemeanor for his DAS charge and a lessened charge of Careless Driving for his DWI charge. This allowed her client to avoid supervised probation and a DWI conviction, which could have posed bigger problems for him down the road.

Her client faced petty misdemeanor and misdemeanor charges. Through negotiations with the prosecutor, Dani was able to secure a continuance for dismissal for her client on both charges. This means that after one year without a similar offense, her client will have both charges dismissed.

      Mike Secures Stay of Adjudication on Reckless Driving Charge

      Case: Reckless Driving

      Result: Mike’s client crashed into a street sign and tree after speeding down a neighborhood street. Mike’s client was charged with Misdemeanor Reckless Driving and Misdemeanor Speeding. Mike explained various details about the legal issues in the case to the prosecutor and negotiated a Stay of Adjudication. As part of the negotiation, the prosecutor also agreed to dismiss the Misdemeanor Speeding charge. Mike’s client pled guilty to Misdemeanor Reckless Driving but the Court Stayed adjudication of this offense, meaning the Court did not accept his plea and did not convict him. Instead, Mike’s client was placed on supervised probation for 1 year. If Mike’s client successfully completes all conditions of probation, the charges will be dismissed in 1 year and Mike’s client will avoid a conviction on his record.
