
Peter is an accomplished attorney with a strong background in criminal defense. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Peter has dedicated his career to advocating for the rights of individuals, particularly of the accused or incarcerated.
During law school, Peter honed his legal skills through hands-on experience working on postconviction relief at Legal Assistance for Incarcerated People, where he helped individuals navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system, ensuring that those who were unjustly sentenced had a fair chance at justice.
After graduating, Peter continued to serve the legal community as a public defender at the State Public Defender’s Office in Madison, WI. There, he built a reputation as a fierce advocate for his clients, skillfully negotiating plea deals, fighting for clients in jury trials, and securing favorable outcomes at every stage of the process. Peter is client-centered in his approach and extremely thorough in case preparation. This commitment to ensuring that each client receives a fair and just defense has earned him the trust and respect of clients, colleagues, and the legal community.
Outside of Brandt Kettwick Defense, Peter loves to spend time outdoors and is a paddle sport enthusiast. He can typically be found outside with his dogs or on the couch watching old movies.
