Case: Two Counts of Felony Criminal Vehicular Operation
Attorney: Nicole A. Kettwick
Result: Following a collision with a motorcycle in Pine County, Nicole’s client was charged with two felony counts of Criminal Vehicular Operation. After a number of hearings, proactive steps completed by the client, and ongoing conversations with the prosecutor, Nicole was able to negotiate a Stay of Adjudication for her client on the Criminal Vehicular Operation charge and entered a conviction to an amended misdemeanor Carless Driving charge. As a result of this, upon successful completion of probation, the Criminal Vehicular Operation charge will be dismissed. As part of the agreement, Nicole’s client will serve 12 days in jail and 12 days on work release. He will complete community work service and pay a minimal fine. This resolution also significantly reduced the revocation of her client’s driving privileges.
