If you are driving in Anoka County during the late evening hours, you may notice more police on the road than usual. This is because several local police departments in Anoka County have received DWI Enforcement Grants.
The DWI Enforcement Grant Program provides local police with additional funding to combat driving while intoxicated. These new grants are effective from October 2021 through September 2022. There are three police departments within Anoka County that received this grant:
- Coon Rapids Police Department
- Fridley Police Department
- Ramsey Police Department
The above police departments will use the grant money to allow Towards Zero Death Officers to provide extra enforcement over the course of the next year. Remember, don’t drink and drive!
