After a family dispute Nicole’s client found himself facing two misdemeanors for Domestic Assault and Disorderly conduct, charges that can result in up to 90 days in jail, loss of gun rights, loss of his job as a nurse, and many other collateral consequences. Nicole and her client disputed the charges. The prosecution made an offer to a lesser charge but Nicole and her client decided to go to trial. They conducted their own investigation, interviewed witnesses, and obtained information and a video of the alleged victim. On the morning of trial, the State dismissed the entire case.
