Autumn is an associate attorney at Brandt Kettwick Defense and brings experience in federal and state criminal defense. After her first year of law school, she clerked for the Federal Public Defender’s Office where she assisted attorneys in providing legal representation to individuals facing federal criminal charges in court proceedings at all stages of their case. She then furthered her practical legal experience as a law clerk at a private criminal defense law firm, where she conducted comprehensive legal research, managed her own caseload, and crafted compelling legal arguments to advocate effectively for clients.
Throughout these experiences, Autumn has handled and been a part of hundreds of cases from petty misdemeanors to large-scale felonies, where she has helped negotiate pleas and contributed to many favorable dispositions at the district court level. Autumn, driven by a passion for fairness and a belief in second chances, is deeply committed to defending individuals facing challenging circumstances by helping them navigate the legal system with compassion.
Outside of Brandt Kettwick Defense, Autumn enjoys spending time with her family, participating in anything competitive, traveling, and attending as many Timberwolves games as possible.
Autumn received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law. During law school, Autumn completed many distinguished courses including Criminal Advocacy, Behind the Bench with the Honorable Ralph Erickson, and a hands-on Mediation course with the Dean Brian Pappas where she received a certificate in Civil Facilitative Mediation. She actively engaged in organizations such as the Criminal Law Association, Law Women’s Caucus, and the Law Students Wellness Association, while also serving as a Barbri Ambassador and LexisNexis Representative.
Before attending law school, Autumn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications from the University of North Dakota. During her undergraduate years (and into her first year of law school), she competed nationally as a Division I athlete on the Women’s Track and Field team.
